Motion Tech Trends (MTT) - The Force Behind MotionInfo.com

Motion Tech Trends (MTT) was founded in 1983 in a collaboration between Dan Jones of Incremotion Associates (ImA) and George Gulalo. The market for electric motors and motion components and systems is large and diverse. Despite its size, there were no firms dedicated exclusively to providing marketing, strategic planning and technical services to the industry.

The Nature of the Industry

Electric motors are ubiquitous. They are used everywhere and are often a critical element in the functioning of the equipment where they are employed. But electric motors are not sexy. And, they require integrating electromagnetic, electronic, software and control theory to understand and implement. Finally, understanding how best to use them often requires knowing intimately the application where they are used.

Global Network

It takes a lot of talent and experience to address the technical and market needs of the electric motor and motion control industries. MTT has organized itself to address this reality in the form of a worldwide network of associates with worldwide reputations and hundreds of years of experience. The next page shows you MTT's Global Network of Associates.

MotionInfo: The Next Step

The next challenge to a knowledge based firm in this industry is to mimic the trends in the manufacturing sector by providing knowledge based services at a lower cost, in a more timely and accurate fashion. MTT is meeting the challenge by leading the effort to create MotionInfo.com - a meeting place where both Users (Purchasers) and Suppliers of the electric motor and motion control industry can obtain information and automated services developed by globally recognized experts in the industry.
